At 0900hrs, you will be pick-up at Sandakan airport or hotel and embark your airconditioned
transport and enjoy your ride that takes approximately 2 hours
driving distance through rustic countryside studded with villages. Arrive at
Gomantong Caves which located in the heartland of the Gomantong Forest
Reserve, a home of millions bats and swiftlets. Explore the biggest bird’s nest
cave in Sabah and the best-managed edible birds’ nest.
Continue an approximately 30 minutes driving distance to Bilit Rainforest Lodge
which located beside the Lower Kinabatangan River in the village of Bilit, a base
for easy exploration of the incredible diversity of plant, mammal and birds at the
Kinabatangan region. Upon arrival at Bilit Jetty, take a boat transfer to the lodge.
Enjoy the welcome drink and lunch will be prepared at Bilit Restaurant. At
1530hrs, enjoy afternoon tea break and short brief by the tour guide. At 1600hrs,
proceed to Kinabatangan River Cruise to discover the Proboscis Monkeys, rarest
birds and other wildlife animals. After the tour, return to Sandakan and will be
transfer to Sandakan airport or hotel with approximately 2 hours driving distance.
