At 0800hrs, you will be meet and pick-up on arrival at the Sandakan airport or
hotel. Embark your air-conditioned transport and enjoy your ride to the world
famous Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre where situated in the Kabili-
Sepilok Forest Reserve. Upon arrival, a short brief will be advised by your guide.
Then, watch a video show documentary on rehabilitation of orphaned Orang
Utan before taking a boardwalk through the lowland rainforest to have a look
for the Orang Utan feeding on the feeding platform. Witness the feeding of
Orang Utan at 1000hrs.
After that, proceed to Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkeys Sanctuary, the Borneo’s
indigenous Proboscis Monkeys, to have a look in their natural habitat. Witness
the feeding of Proboscis monkeys at 1130hrs on the platform B.
Enjoy your lunch before proceed to Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. Sun
Bear is the smallest bear in the world where their height of the adult sun bear is
approximately 120cm to 150cm while standing, weight with 27kgto 65kg. The
size of male sun bear will be bigger than female sun bear about 10% to 45%. Its
common name comes from the white or yellowish crescent marking on its chest,
which many people think looks like the rising or settingsun. Each bear’s crest is
individual—like fingerprints.
Thereafter, proceed to City Tour. Firstly, visit the Puh Jih Shih Buddhist Temple,
a place that you do not want to miss. It is located on the hilltop overlooking a
breathtaking panoramic view of Sandakan Bay. Next stop is the Sandakan Central
Market which consolidates all kind of stalls that selling fresh produce and variety
of handicrafts, pearls and many more. Lastly, visit the Sim-Sim Water Village
where the houses built on stilts and linked together. Observe the fascinating
view of the sea and the local fishermen and their families with their daily
activities.
After the tour, drop off at Sandakan airport or hotel.
